Traps, puzzles, and powerful magic items await, which may or may not be able to help you. Your quest will take you to uncharted reaches of the Isles of Wynmar. The task will not be easy, but you accept this duty. You have learned of Lord Estintar’s suspicions that the cult has something to do with the increase in storm activity. What sort of perks and insider access is available through Patreon?ĭepending on your pledge level, you can get access to the Inner Circle Discord channel where only 6502 Workshop developers have access, and an invite to the monthly live video chat with the 6502 Workshop developers, insider updates, exclusive swag, and more! However, Patreon support helps us to do so much more quickly! Will 6502 Workshop make more games anyway, even without Patreon support? This literally means that for Mark, income from Patreon translates directly to more game development hours each month! The nature of this job is such that he can adjust his workload as he sees fit. This is especially true for lead developer Mark Lemmert, as his day job is freelance consulting. The short version is, the more income we receive from Patreon, the more time we can devote directly to making games.

Perfect for holiday gifts! I suggest increasing the speed of the game (see the docs) and/or using quick battle for those fights. You'll have tons of battles that are very easy and will go up fast. If you do want to grind, fight rabble rousers and rabid dogs near Everton at night. Do a few quests in the starting region and you'll have battled enough to get to 元. To raise your char level, you don't have to grind. And equip him with a magic staff that does nice ranged damage. Train early for cheap! And the more you practice them in battle the higher they get.ģ- For the shaman specifically, try to get a couple of your guys to 元, especially your mage. Something you may find impossible at L2 becomes easy at 元Ģ- skills are very useful, especially dodge for those who wear less than 9 weight. Also your fundamental strategic outlook is correct.ġ- leveling up is a huge boost. You have a spot for a 3rd mage, and you'll be set.

I hope this all helps, and feel free to jump onto the server to chat with other players and get help with quests. You'll end up going back a few times to the same areas (like Grymvi's Keep!), exploring more and more of it, before finally completing a particular quest. This was initially frustrating to me (even as one of the developers!) because I figured I would get the quests in a logical order of when they could be completed. At the very least, by exploring around you'll also be able to make some maps for future reference.įinally, don't worry about trying to finish quests in any sort of order. Rather than grinding, just head off to another area and explore. So, as I'm sure you've discovered, it's easy to get into a region where you're in over your head. It's tricky because Nox Archaist doesn't use level scaling. In Knaerwood and Bayport you can also pick up training for your characters. Also, explore Bayport - there are at least 2 quests there that are fairly straightforward. If you haven't already, visit Knaerwood (in the east), then maybe Maldac. You don't need to grind, but by going to different towns, you'll naturally run into monsters and get more experience. If I remember, I had 2 "mage"-type characters and cast fireballs on the ogres until I ran out of magic points.īut regardless of the Orc Shaman, I would suggest visiting some other places first. I also think that I targeted the ogres first, since they are so deadly with their giant boulders. I can't exactly recall what level my characters were, but it was somewhere between levels 2 and 3. The longer answer is that you're absolutely right, that Orc Shaman battle is tough.

The short answer is "no", you shouldn't need to grind.
